United Coal Company (UCC) is a producer of coking coal located in the central Appalachian region of the United States, with operations in 3 states (West Virginia, Virginia, and Kentucky). UCC’s three operating business units produce up to 4 million metric tons per year of hard coking coal and have grown to be one of the leading producers of metallurgical coal in the United States using both underground and surface mining techniques.
The United Coal Foundation was formed by UCC in 2022 as a charitable foundation to collect funds and humanitarian aid from the US for the support of our colleagues at Metinvest and for the people of Ukraine as well as our local mining communities.
The United Coal Foundation’s mission is to positively impact and inspire our local and global communities through the collection and contribution of charitable funds and by providing humanitarian aid.
